1) HWRE Site Visit at Bembla Dam (27/03/2024)
 
The Department of Civil Engineering has organized a site visit on "Overview of Dam" under curriculum at Bembla, Yavatmal for second year students. In this visit Er. S. S. Munnoli (Executive Engineer) illustrates the design procedure and working of Dam. In this visit total 36 students are present at dam site with Prof. B. S. Rathod, Prof. S. S. Pawar and Prof. A. S. Kalmegh.
 


2) Three Days Minor Project on Design of Water Distribution System for Madkona Village
 
Department of Civil Engineering had organized a Minor Project on “Design of Water Distribution System for Madkona Village” under curriculum by Prof. N. B. Kothari, Prof. S. N. Kitey, Prof. B. S. Rathod and Prof. A. V. Gorle held on 20th March 2024 to 22th March 2024. Around 29 students present in the minor project from 3rd year Civil Engineering Department. In this minor project all the objectives regarding topic like survey, levelling, determination of bearings, topography of village, source of water etc. for water distribute to end users has been studied.
 


3) Industrial Tour at “ATAL Tunnel Manali, Red Fort & Qutub Minar, Delhi ” (08/12/2023)
 
The Department of Civil Engineering has organized an industrial tour on 8 December, 2023 to ATAL Tunnel Manali, Red Fort & Qutub Minar, Delhi for the final year students of Civil Engineering. In this tour Prof. S. N. Kitey (Tour Incharge), Prof. S. S. Pawar, Prof. A. S. Kalmegh and Prof. B. S. Rathod were the faculty co-ordinators for the industrial tour. They started traveling from the college campus at 08:00 am via travels. Totally 25 students along with 1 tour incharge & 3 faculty coordinators were there in the journey. This Industrial visit was very helpful in future practical life & bring a positive change in thinking & practical behavior regarding Education & specializing our technical skills. The main objective of this tour was to gain practical knowledge about the historical monument construction, use of advanced techniques for repair & maintenance of monument in Civil Engineering aspect & information on different component parts & use of supporting members to enhanced their life & appearance.
 


4) Industrial Visit at “Raymond UCO denim Pvt. Ltd. Yavatmal” (21/10/2023)
 
The Department of Civil Engineering has organized an industrial visit at Raymond UCO Denim Pvt. Ltd., Yavatmal for final year students. In this visit Mr. Vilas Kale (Site Engineer) illustrates the process of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). In this visit total 32 students are present at ETP with Prof. S. A. Chavan & Prof. B. S. Rathod.
 


5) Expert Lecture on “FUTURE OPPORTUNITY THROUGH GATE EXAMINATION” by Mr. Umesh Agalawe (19-10-2023)
 
Department of Civil Engineering had organized an Expert Lecture on “FUTURE OPPORTUNITY THROUGH GATE EXAMINATION” conveyed by Mr. Umesh Agalawe, Director of IMS GATE Academy & Bansal Classes, Amravati held on 19th October 2023 at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Around 112 students attended the lecture from the Civil Engineering Department. In this expert lecture all the objectives and future scope in higher education as well as employment regarding PSUs in GATE Examination has been discussed.
 


6) One Day Workshop on “DEVELOPMENT IN CARPET MANUAFCTURING TECHNOLOGY”, by Mr. Amar Survey (05-10-2023)
 
Department of Textile Engineering has organized the one day worksho on “DEVELOPMENT IN CARPET MANUAFCTURING TECHNOLOGY” by Mr. Amar Survey, Deputy General Manager Sales, A.T.E. Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai held on 5th October 2023 through offline mode. Around 64 students from Second, third and final year of Textile Engineering Department and 7 teaching faculties have participated in this workshop. In this workshop Carpet Manufacturing by various techniques and its process had been discussed.
 


7) One Day Visit of Chemical Engineering Students at Raymond Limited, Yavatmal under MOU on 07/10/2023 along with Staff Members of the Department.
 


8) One Day Workshop on “Innovations in Denim Finishing” (21-03-2023)
 
Department of Textile Engineering has organized the One Day Workshop in association with Raymond UCO denim Pvt Ltd, Yavatmal under the MoU activity signed on dated 01/07/2019 on “INNOVATIONS IN DENIM FINISHING” by Mr. Avinash Mahindre, DGM, Raymond Uco denim Pvt., Ltd yavatmal and Mr. Arun Mali, Senior Manager, Raymond Uco Denim Pvt, Ltd, Yavatmal held on 21th March 2023 at 11 AM through offline mode. Around 61 students from third and final year of Textile Engineering Department and 7 teaching faculties have participated in this workshop. In this workshop the concept of denim and its history have been discussed. Also Finishing process of denim and its innovations have been taught.

Department of Textile Engineering has organized the Expert Lecture on “PROTECTIVE CLOTHING” by Dr. Bibhu Prasad Dash held on 20th September 2023 at 9:00 AM through offline mode. Around 55 students from Second, third and final year of Textile Engineering Department and 7 teaching faculties have participated in this lecture. In this expert lecture the fibre, fabric and methods used to manufacture the protective clothing and its applications have been taught.

Students of Civil Engineering Department successfully completed Internship offered by Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India and implemented by AICTE from 1st July 2022 to 5th August 2022.

Department of Civil Engineering has organized the Expert Lecture on "Overview of CAD, CAM & CAE" by Mr. Nitin B. Wankar, Director of Elegant IT, Yavatmal on dated 17th February 2023 at 04:00 - 06:00 P.M. through offline mode. Around 38 students from third and final year of Civil Engineering Department has attended the lecture. He was also share his experience in Civil as well as other Engineering software field.

Department of Civil Engineering has organized site visit at Manwatkar Builders, old Umarsara, Yavatmal for second & third year students. In this visit Mr. Suhas Puri (Architect) guided about the topic of “Design of R.C.C residential building (G+3)”. For this visit total 61 students were present at site with Prof. P. N. Wahane, Prof. A. R. Bansod & Prof. K. D. Manwar.

Department of Civil Engineering organized industrial visit at Raymond UCO Denim Pvt, Ltd, Yavatmal for final year students. To develop and broaden the Technical Skill, Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, Maharashtra in collaboration with Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering &Technology, Yavatmal introduced a one-day online workshop on " Towards the Implementation of Internet of Things(IOT) with ESP32" organized by Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering For Diploma & Engineering Students. The workshop was conducted by Prof. B.M. Faruk, Assistant Professor, JDIET, Yavatmal on dated 16-06-2021 and was attended by 132 students.
 


48) Online Essay and Poster Competition
 
On the occasion of International Women’s Day , ETA & ISF club of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department in association with IETE Sub-center,Yavatmal organized an Online Essay and Poster Competition for the students of JDIET on dated 13/03/2021. About 43 students in all participated in the event from which 25 students participated in essay competition and 18 students in poster competition.

The meeting was held on 17/10/2020 at 12:00 noon online on the MS Team platform.The session began with the monitoring of actions taken at the previous meeting for feedback. Various points based on online students industrial interaction, online augmented site visit, enhance immersive learning were discussed and the same is implemented for the betterment of the students.

Department of Civil Engineering has organised the Expert Lecture on"Current Trends and Construction Chemicals"by Er. Mayur Banarase,Technical director at Construction Quality Control and Constrochem,on dated 15/09/2020 at 12:00 noon through online platform of Microsoft Team. Around 164 students from second, third and final year of Civil Engineering Department has attended the programme. Sir has shared his precious observations and knowledge which is very helpful for the future Civil Engineers. He showed visual presentation of structural members and many years old buildings for better understanding. Discussed the issues related to its failure, causes and how to prevent and deal with these conditions. Segregation, Honeycomb formation, Improper load distribution on cantilever portions, Placement of PCC bed due to water seepage due improper sewage line were discussed.

Around 142 students from second, third and final year of Civil Engineering Department has attended the programme. He is also an alumni of our college. He had discussed various dos and donts in the college life along with shared the required scenario of industrial market for students as a fresher.
